History

April 1995 Kenedix, charged with heading up real estate operations in Japan for Kennedy-Wilson, Inc., opens its doors as Kennedy-Wilson Japan at 3-12-12 Kojimachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.
August 1998 Kenedix moves its head office to 1-6-15 Nishi Shinbashi, Minato-ku, Tokyo.
February 1999 Kenedix provides investment support for a data center building in Kawasaki. To fund this project, the Company arranges Japan's first non-recourse loan for real estate. This project signaled Kenedix's full-fledged entry into asset management.
October 1999 Kenedix brokers the sale of the Tiffany Building on New York's Fifth Avenue.
July 2001 Kenedix establishes a real estate investment fund with a large life insurer, the first asset management business for an investor in Japan.
January 2002 Kenedix moves its head office to 2-2-9 Shinbashi, Minato-ku, Tokyo.
February 2002 Kenedix is listed on the Osaka Securities Exchange's Hercules Nippon New Market (formerly NASDAQ Japan).
August 2002 Kenedix starts real estate development activities with the construction of a 29,700m2 distribution facility in Urayasu, Chiba and the development of a residential property with a major trading company.
August 2003 Kenedix forms a business tie-up with Mitsui & Co., Ltd., selling new shares to Mitsui & Co. via a private placement.
November 2003 Kenedix establishes a pension fund-based real estate investment fund to assume asset management operations.
December 2003 Kenedix Group's AUM exceeds ¥100 billion.
December 2003 Kenedix is listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
December 2004 Kenedix is listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
May 2005 Changes the company name from Kennedy-Wilson Japan Co., Ltd. to Kenedix, Inc.
May 2005 Japan Logistics Fund, Inc., Japan's first REIT specializing in logistics facilities with joint management by Mitsui & Co., Ltd., Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Limited (formerly The Chuo Mitsui Trust and Banking Company, Limited) and Kenedix, is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
July 2005 Kenedix Office Investment Corporation (formerly Kenedix Realty Investment Corporation), managed by consolidated subsidiary Kenedix Real Estate Fund Management, Inc. (formerly Kenedix REIT Management, Inc.), is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
January 2006 Kenedix acquires a 20% stake in KW Multi-family Management Group, Ltd., an asset manager subsidiary of Kenedy-Wilson Inc. that specializes in multi-family residential property investments.
September 2006 Kenedix Group's AUM exceeds ¥500 billion.
April 2007 Challenger Kenedix Japan Trust, a real estate investment trust joint venture with Challenger Financial Service Group Limited in Australia, is listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. (Became a private fund on February 8, 2010.)
Auguxt 2008 Establishes a ¥28 billion private fund with a German investor to invest mainly in suburban commercial facilities.
June 2009 Kenedix sells KDX Toyosu Gransquare - a large development project - to a fund managed by the Carlyle Group, and at the same time starts asset management operations at this property.
December 2009 Business alliance with MAX-REALTY INC. in order to enhance the asset management business.
Kenedix reorganizes asset management operations centered on consolidated subsidiary Kenedix Asset Management, Inc.
May 2010 Commencement of sponsorship for Pacific Holdings, Inc. and others
June 2010 Kenedix Group's AUM exceeds ¥1 trillion.
July 2010 Business alliance with ITOCHU Corporation and sale of new shares through a private placement.
December 2011 Kenedix Group's AUM exceeds ¥1.1 trillion.
April 2012 Kenedix Residential Investment Corporation managed by Kenedix Real Estate Fund Management, Inc. (formerly Kenedix Residential Partners, Inc.) is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
Decmeber 2012 Kenedix starts asset management for an office building (Shinsei Bank's former Head Office) in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.
October 2013 Reorganization of the Kenedix Group. Kenedix Advisors, Inc. merges with Kenedix Asset Management, Inc. Then Kenedix Residential Partners, Inc. merges with Kenedix Advisors, Inc. and Kenedix Office Partners, Inc. and changes its name to Kenedix Real Estate Fund Management, Inc.
Space Design, Inc. becomes a subsidiary of Kenedix.
Jaunary 2014 Kenedix establishes Kenedix Property Management Inc.
March 2014 Kenedix moves its head office to the current location at 6-5 Nihonbashi Kabutocho, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.
Kenedix Private Investment Corporation starts operations.
October 2014 Kenedix signs cooperation agreement with NTT Urban Development Corporation. As part of this cooperation, Kenedix purchased a 30% equity interest in Premier REIT Advisors Co., Ltd., an asset management company of Premier Investment Corporation.
November 2014 Kenedix establishes Aisa Hotel & Residence Pte. Ltd., an operating company for extended-stay hotels and residential properties in the ASEAN region.
January 2015 Kenedix starts operating its Singapore Representative Office.
February 2015 Kenedix Retail REIT Corporation is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
May 2015 Kenedix establishes Kenedix Asia Pte. Ltd. in Singapore.
July 2015 Japan Senior Living Investment Corporation is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
July 2015 Kenedix Property Management, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Kenedix, establishes Kenedix Engineering, Inc..
